Getting Started
What is Faye?
Faye is an AI-powered social media coach. It connects to your Google Photos, Spotify, and social accounts to learn your style, then recommends what to post, when, and with what caption — so you never stare at a blank screen again.
How do I sign up?
Click 'Get started' on the homepage or join the waitlist. Once you have access, sign up with your email and connect your first data source (Google Photos is a great start).
Is Faye free?
Yes! The free plan includes photo scoring, 1 recommendation per week, basic captions, 1 connected platform, and the profile analyzer. Upgrade to Pro ($9/mo) for unlimited recommendations, all platforms, and advanced features.
Do I need to connect all my accounts?
No. Faye works with whatever you connect. Start with just Google Photos and add more sources over time. Each connection makes Faye smarter about your content style.
Connecting Accounts
Which platforms does Faye support?
Google Photos (for content), Spotify (for music personality), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. More platforms are on the roadmap.
Is my data safe when I connect accounts?
Absolutely. Faye never stores your raw photos — they are processed in memory and discarded. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with per-user AES-256 keys. We enforce row-level security on every database table.
Can I disconnect an account?
Yes. Go to Settings > Connected Accounts and click 'Disconnect' next to any service. Your data for that service is removed immediately.
Why does Faye need access to my Google Photos?
Faye scans your recent photos to find your best content using AI scoring. It looks at composition, lighting, and engagement potential — then recommends which photos to post. Your photos are never stored on our servers.
Recommendations & Captions
How does Faye decide what I should post?
Faye uses a 5-signal conditions engine that considers photo quality, timing, your Content DNA, audience engagement patterns, and current trends to score and rank your content.
Can I edit the captions Faye generates?
Of course! Captions are suggestions, not mandates. Edit them freely. Pro users get 3 caption variants per recommendation to choose from or mix and match.
Does Faye post automatically?
Not on the free plan. Faye recommends what to post — you decide when. Auto-posting is available on the Pro plan for connected platforms.
Pricing & Billing
What does the Pro plan include?
Unlimited recommendations, 3-variant captions, all platforms, conditions engine, Content DNA profile, niche benchmarks, analytics dashboard, timing optimization, weekly digest, feedback learning, and draft queue with calendar.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 7-day free trial on Pro. No credit card required to start.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings > Subscription > Manage Billing. You can cancel anytime. Your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the billing period.
Privacy & Data
Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to Settings > Privacy > Export Data. We generate a ZIP file with all your data within 24 hours. This is a first-class feature, not an afterthought.
Can I delete my account and all data?
Yes. Settings > Privacy > Delete Account. All your data — recommendations, scores, DNA profile, tokens — is permanently deleted. This action is irreversible.
Does Faye comply with GDPR and CCPA?
Yes. Data export and deletion are built-in API endpoints. We record granular consent per data source, never store PII in logs, and hash IP addresses.
Troubleshooting
My photos are not loading
Make sure your Google Photos connection is active in Settings > Connected Accounts. If it shows 'Connected' but photos still do not load, try disconnecting and reconnecting. Google Photos permissions may have expired.
I am not getting recommendations
Faye needs at least a few photos to score before generating recommendations. Connect Google Photos, wait for scoring to complete, and recommendations will appear on your dashboard.
The app feels slow
AI scoring and caption generation can take a few seconds on the first run. Subsequent loads are faster. If the issue persists, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
